About Nkrataa

Nkrataa is private charitable venture established to promote the adoption and use of primarily Akan and then other mother tounges in education, communication and development.  Nkrataa, our digital Akan language studio is at the heart of the methods by which we wish to help make it easy for Akan users adopt and use the language fully in their daily lives.

There is a distinct lack of literature written, disseminated and communicated in Akan in all spheres of society and culture.  We can only increase the body of literature available if this work is produced by Akan speakers and users like us; so lets get to work and produce it.  Using Nkrataa, lets get to work and write our thoughts, dreams, ideas, history, theories and culture.  We promise to publish all original work and or translations submitted in digital form for consumsion by other Akans around the world.
